1876: The Battle Of Little Bighorn occurred. Lieutenant Colonel Custer and his U.S. Army troops are defeated in battle with Native American Lakota Sioux and Northern Cheyenne, on the Little Bighorn Battlefield, June 25, 1876 at Little Bighorn River, Montana.
1877: Crazy Horse surrenders after the battle of Wolf Mountain. This battle took place in southern Montana Territory. The people involved in this battle were between soldiers of the United States army against Lakota Sioux and Northern Cheyenne warriors during the Great Sioux War of 1876. In this year Crazy Horse was killed by a soldier's bayonet.
1877: Dawes severalty act of 1887 was signed to break up tribes and make room for white settlers. This authorized the President of the United States to survey American Indian tribal land and divide it into allotments for individual Indians. Those who accepted allotments and lived separately from the tribe would be granted United States citizenship.
1890: Final Uprising then there was the battle of Wounded Knee. The battle of Wounded Knee was located on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in southwestern South Dakota. This battle was about two conflicts between North American Indians and representatives of the U.S. government.
1891: Sitting Bull was killed because the Indian Police men went to go arrest him but Sitting Bull did not want to go, someone shot the police men and then Sitting Bull was shot in the head and chest.
